Now, while all of my intro may be true, I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Ms. Wintour these days. To anyone who reads Vogue and other fashion magazines seriously, it's no news that Anna has been losing her touch. This is debatable sure, but I'm basing my opinion off of the number of higher quality, high-fashion magazines that have sprung up in the last few years that really impress me much more than anything American Vogue has featured recently. I'm sure it can be agreed that Vogue holds a level of sophistication.. it's surely no Cosmo. There are home and gardening tips, features on artists and book reviews as well as fashion. But I'm sorry to say that my respect has lowered since American Vogue began featuring JC Penney ads and the like. I'm sorry but that's just not what I want to see in a magazine like Vogue. I want to see Haute Couture, elegance, notes of a high class society I have never been a part of but can dream about through the photos filling the pages that are tinged with the latest Chanel scents.
Ranting aside, the woman is a living legend and I cannot wait to see her terrorizing models and clueless interns when the film opens this Friday, August 28th.
And in case you were wondering.. the magazine's that have me completely hooked include: Purple Fashion, i-D, V, etc, etc.
